Dialogue is rarely recorded in perfect, repeatable conditions. Different rooms, mics, and takes can leave you stitching together lines that don’t quite sit together. SpectralBalance² fixes that. It analyzes the spectral characteristics of a reference and automatically shapes the EQ of your input to match – giving you fast, natural tonal consistency for ADR, voice replacement, and spoken-word editing in real time or in post.

How it works (in a nutshell)
Choose a reference: a clean line from the production mic, a previous take, or any clip that represents the tone you want.
Analyze: SpectralBalance² learns the spectral fingerprint of that reference.
Match: The plugin automatically shapes your input EQ to follow that fingerprint.
Fine-tune: Adjust the curve with familiar EQ controls, set gain limits, and choose the processing mode that fits the task.
Static vs. Dynamic modes
Static mode
Applies a fixed matching curve derived from your reference. This is perfect when the voice and mic position are stable and you want a consistent offset—e.g., making an ADR line sit with production audio from the same room. Static mode is reliable, predictable, and easy to “print.”
Great for:
Finalizing ADR/voice-over lines to a set tonal target
Matching multiple short clips to a single reference
Offline rendering where you want repeatable, identical results
Dynamic mode
Applies a responsive match that adapts to the incoming signal over time. Use it when the voice or performance varies and you want the match to breathe with the content, keeping corrections natural while avoiding over- or under-shooting.
Great for:
Longer dialogue passages with shifting tone
Interview/podcast edits where speakers move on mic
Live/real-time use while tracking or monitoring
Tip: Start in Dynamic, dial your gain limits, and once you’re happy, you can convert to Static for final, surgical tweaks.
QuickMatch mode
QuickMatch is the fastest way to go from reference to result. Click once to analyze the selected reference and apply an instant match to your input. No profile setup required.
Use QuickMatch when:
You need a quick fix on a single line or pickup.
You want to audition different references in seconds.
You plan to refine later with Static or Dynamic processing.
If you like the result, save it as a reference profile for reuse.
